Maine - Updated 6/2007

This May of 2007 the Physicians Health Program (PHP) drafted legislation to allow the Board of Pharmacy to establish a Pharmacists Health
Program. It passed unanimously through both the house and senate. This should allow the RPh's of Maine to become an official part of the PHP
program by this upcoming Fall 2007. In the meantime if you or someone you know is experiencing difficulties with a mental or substance abuse
issue do not hesitate to contact myself or Dr David Simmons. Dr Simmons is the director of both the Maine and Vermont PHP programs and has
helped a number of pharmacists in the past.
