The Nebraska
Department of Health and Human Services Division of Alcoholism, Drug Abuse
and Addiction Services has contracted with the Bestcare Employee Assistance
Program (EAP) to offer this unique benefit. The LAP is an assessment,
referral, case management, educational resource, and monitoring service
designed to help licensees, certificate holders, and registrants of the
State of Nebraska work through substance abuse/addiction problems. The LAP
services are free. However, when a treatment referral is made, those
expenses become the responsibility of the Licensee. This activity is
supported, in whole or part, under contract with the Nebraska Department of
Health and Human Services, Division of Alcoholism, Drug Abuse, and
Addiction Services from licensee/certificate holder/registrant fees paid
to the Nebraska Department of Regulation and Licensure and/or Nebraska
Department of Services.
What about funding? The
organization does not charge client fees. It does receive funding through
license renewal fees.
