This organization has a 12 member (non-paid) board of directors.  It is free standing/separate from the Pharmacy 
State Board. “Virginia legislation in 1997 provided funding for a corporation to help all impaired health care 
professionals licensed in the state. Currently Health Practitioners Intervention Program (HPIP) has the contract.”
VAPAP does educational programs and interventions. VAPAP meets quarterly.

What about funding? The organization does not charge client fees. It does not receive funding through license 
renewal fees.
