Michel served as an Assistant Pharmacy Section Leader to the University of Utah School on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies in 2001. Since then in his work at Samford University, Dean at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, and now CEO at APhA, Michael has been a very supportive to the mission of the Pharmacists Recovery Network. As a Trustee and then the 165th president of APhA he was very supportive of the establishment of the APhA Institute on Substance Use Disorders after the University of Utah School on Alcoholism and other Drug Dependencies was discontinued.
